I remember my father, Emory, working on his baby blue 60's Chevy side step truck. I actually have a tattoo in his memory.
I always wanted a truck like it. I purchased one, black, and put a new LS motor in, Gen 2 out of an 09' GMC. We wrapped the truck with a flat black vinyl, new wood bed, cleaned the interior and spent a lot of time getting this truck to where I wanted it. Lowering, sound system, wiring, rims, brakes, etc. Unfortunately, I had to sell my truck as my business suffered throughout Covid, but I was okay with this. The rebuild was exhausting and created frustration. The build did not quite turn out exactly how I envisioned. One day, when back on top, I will jump straight to purchasing a completed truck to enjoy, not to work on. I'd like to get one that is as original as possible aesthetically, with the latest technology under the hood. I am hoping a flat navy green with original rims and white wall tires.
